Hi, I’m Elizabeth Yoder – a mom, teacher, and homeschool supporter.

 

As a foster and biological mom, I’ve always wanted more time with my kids to guide them and be a part of their everyday lives. I’ve felt the calling to homeschool in the future, not just to teach them academics, but to also "train them up in the way they should go" (Proverbs 22:6) and "disciple them in the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). For me, homeschooling is about more than just reading and math—it’s about shaping their hearts and helping them grow into the people God has created them to be.

 

While I haven’t yet begun homeschooling full-time, I felt led to start tutoring as a way to support other families on this journey. I know that sometimes kids just need someone outside of mom and dad to help them through a tough subject, or offer that extra encouragement. I want to be the person who can make learning a little easier and a lot more enjoyable for them.

 

I hold a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on differentiation, and I’ve spent the past three years teaching in both private and public schools, along with two years of tutoring afterschool. I absolutely love teaching kids to read —it’s such a foundational skill that opens up so many doors, both in school and life.

 

I offer in-home tutoring for K-2 elementary students, focusing on reading, writing, and math, but my goal is to support your child in a way that builds confidence and a love for learning.
